Afpop East Algarve organised a Halloween Wine Tasting Dinner at Octant Vila Monte Hotel to raise funds for StreetLife, a sterilisation programme for dogs that covers all of the Sotavento Area, which includes Loulé, Faro, Olhão, Sao Bras de Alportel, Tavira, Alcoutim, Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo Antonio.

Portuguese based SOSAA, aka Sterilise Our Strays, and UK based DPDSAA are joining forces, to tap into areas which are in dire need of help regarding early neutering and the sterilisation of dogs and cats across the Algarve.

The next Networking Charity Coffee Morning will be at Tribulum Restaurante, Almancil on October 30th from 10.30 until noon.

This holiday season, Castelo de Sonhos, a registered charity with more than 200 elderly in need, living in the Silves area, have organised their 20th Annual Shoebox Campaign for the Elderly. The boxes will be delivered to the elderly folk by the Castelo de Sonhos team. 

The next Charity Pop Up Shop, selling new and second hand clothing at knocked down prices, will be at Iceland/The Food Co in Guia, on Oct 12th from 11.00h til 14.00h.

The Algarve Crochet and Knitting Group is calling for help to provide warm hats for the homeless and needy families this winter. 

Thanks to the wonderful generosity of Castelo de Sonhos “Back to School” supporters, this family charity has been able to distribute 90 filled backpacks to disadvantaged children within the Silves area.

A fun night was had by 82 guests at Restaurante O Antonio in Moncarapacho, to celebrate StreetLife’s 7^th anniversary... and what a night it was! Abba music is clearly very popular with our supporters, judging by the amount of dancing at the end of the evening.
