Every year Lagoa Municipality celebrates a theme, 2019’s being inclusivity within the community, and in this vein The Algarveans theatre group have been invited to participate in Humorfest, an annual comedy festival happening throughout March. Members of the company are already in rehearsal for their first production of the season; Ladies’ Day by Amanda Whittington. This promises to deliver all the humour of Calendar Girls and The Full Monty, with the charm of Dinner Ladies.

The QRER Cooperative, based in Querença, is opening its year of activities with a bird watching tour in and around the natural beauty of the Serra do Caldeirão.

The tour is open to the public and is being arranged by Proactivetur's João Ministro. The group will set off on Saturday, January 26, at 9:00 am from the Largo de Igreja Matriz in the picturesque village of Querença.

Vilamoura International School (CIV) organises a biennial trip to Canada for Year 11 and 12 students, to give them more options when choosing tertiary education. Students from the returning group addressed their peers to tell them more about their experience.

The opening of the exhibition 'Circular Somewhere' will take place on October 20 at 17:30 h at Associação Cultural Re-Criativa República 14, Av. da República nº.14, 8700-310, Olhão

The exhibition will run from October 20  to December 6, from 14:00 - 19:00 h every day,  except Sundays and public holidays.

For the fourth consecutive year, Casas do Barlavento is hosting a golf day on the 21st of September at Boavista Golf and Spa resort, to thank the owners, buyers and business partners of Casas do Barlavento for another successful year.
This year 100 golfers will play as a 4 ball AM-AM team, with a 9 am shotgun start. The program for the day after the game includes drinks and snacks on the terrace to the sound of live music, followed by lunch in the clubhouse restaurant.
