Mindfulness means awareness - sleep better, worry less, manage pain

Mindfulness means awarenessIt is a basic human quality and involves learning to focus and pay wise attention to what’s going on inside your mind and body, and in the outside world.

Our minds are easily distracted, often unhelpfully going over past events in our head and trying to anticipate the future. Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to, and seeing more clearly whatever is happening in our lives. Paying attention to our thoughts, feelings and sensations in the body may not sound like a very helpful thing to do, but research consistently shows that learning to do this in a particular way can have a measurably positive impact on our lives.

Sometimes it can be a pain living in a place that most people can’t point to on a map (Do you mean Puerto Rico?) but when the world appears to be going a bit mad it can be a nice feeling to be off the radar a little and that’s the way I like it here.
